![]() My family and I moved to the island in March of 22. A+++++ may be the best Resturant I have ever eaten in More ![]() The prices are very high there is no doubt but it is truly worth every dollar. I 100% recommend this to anyone and everyone. I know you think I being over the top but honestly it’s this amazing. Then you are given towels that have a beautiful sent of Almond. The night was capped off with a Banana Mac nut crisp for desert. Everything was so flavorful and each ingredient had its own amazing flavor. We ordered the Hawaiian Kanapachie with lobster and crab Mac nut crust (absolutely amazing), the Mah Hi Mah hi special with Jasmine rice, and the Ahi Grilled with mango and rum baked banana. When it was time for the entrees we were blown away with how could everything was. Our waiter Gil and the rest of the wait staff were kind and kept us laughing with small jokes and conversation. The wait staff quickly brought food out and new plates the flow of service was amazing. While we were waiting for the crab cakes we received little cups of hot mushroom soup. They were paired with a tomato and jalapeño little cup which added to the great flavor. The drinks were outstanding! Then we ordered the crab cakes for an appetizer. I also ordered an Old Fashion which was very good. The drink menu has some great choices from the Navigator (Gin Drink), the Scorpion and the Pau Hana (gin). We sat down and right away we’re greeted by a server. Upon arrival we were greeted by a hostesses who was incredibly nice and we were brought to a table that gave us a great view of the sunset. From great music inside to great lighting to make it feel romantic or very comforting for your family. The Resturant has its own private beach for a sunset so getting reservations for before or after is perfect. is a tucked away spot that includes valet parking for its visitors. ![]() Worth every penny! Get a reservation way in advance and absolutely add this to the list! Mamas Fish House is in the town of Paia, located right on the water and even though on the north shore still amazing for a sunset. Very disappointing to be senior citizens, and in my case a Veteran, and be mistreated in this fashion More Management better change their gatekeepers before someone reacts more aggressively than we chose to. I can only assume this valet either didn't like our clothing (resort casual) or us or worse, he and the restaurant do not want 11 year olds. My wife and I have dined in many places this year( from deli's to michelin 3 *) and never have we been treated so rudely and unprofessionally. He made it clear we were not welcome at the restaurant (we had created no scene actually only one group arrived during this time and nothing was said by us in front of them). I asked first where we could wait and he suggested a beach about a mile down the road and then I asked why would that be necessary (he responded that's the rule though the bench was obviously for waiting and then I asked why would he have our son move the car and then come over and tell us we can't wait there. Shortly after he drove off in the car, the same valet came over to the remaining three of us and informed us we couldn't wait on the bench that was obviously for waiting. We agreed to wait and our son removed the rental car as instructed by the valet and found a space on the Hana Highway. When we all returned to the waiting bench we were told that the valet would now not accept our rental car and that the wait would be 1 hr and 30 minutes. I took our grandson down to the area in front of the restauarnt while my wife used the restroom. The valet took our car and we walked over to person at top of stairway and asked about getting in she informed us it would be 30 to 45 minutes which was fine with us. After picking up two guests at the airport and returning 45 minutes later we found only valet parking. My wife and I drove to the restaurant about 4 pm and asked about walk-ins and were told it was worth a try. The concierge at the resort we were staying at suggested we drive to the restaurant late afternoon/early evening and ask to be put on wait list. We called a few days on this visit to check on ability to walk-in and wait only to get a voice message without a return call. So, this visit we tried to make reservations six months in advance only to be told they were fully booked on each of the ten days we would be on Maui. Each of those times we were greeted pleasantly, sometimes told there would be a slight wait, and then we enjoyed a great meal of freshly caught. Most of past visits have included meals at Mama's Fish House.
